April 28th Workshop: Basics of Waterwise Landscaping
On Wednesday, April 28th PWC will team with Seattle Tilth to provide a timely subject: Basics of Waterwise Landscaping. Participants will learn how good gardening/landscaping techniques can save water, especially during the summer when demands on water are at their greatest, and supplies are lowest. Participants will learn from the ground up about good soil, composting, irrigation, and right plant right place. They'll get their hands dirty with hand-on practice. Special guest speaker Tracy Patterson, of Freeman Associates, will talk about the best ways to market your water conservation landscape messages. Workshop space is limited so you'll want to register early. CEUs will be offered. The location is the Good Shepherd Center, 4649 Sunnyside Ave. N, Room 202, Seattle. Cost is $70 for members/$85 for nonmembers. The registration forms will be out soon. You can also register by emailing Janet Nazy.
